A take on the Pork Barrel Scam

By Rod P. Kapunan post on facebook
Instead of getting to the bottom of the problem, all that hoopla about the P10.5 billion pork barrels scam is fast turning into a political ammunition of this tuwad na daan. The putrid smell of politics is fast become unbearable. I say politics because the hypocrites are singling out the members of the opposition, especially the more vocal and the potential candidates.
Everybody knows that almost all the members of Congress can be adjudged guilty if we are to take it on the basis that all they received their PDAF or pork barrel. But it seems that this pretending to be honest government is only defacing the image of the opposition not those bootlickers, and that balding man who no less has a whooping P1 trillion pork barrel at his disposal.
All we need is honesty, and that should begin with a question how Janet Lim Napoles managed to create a scheme where she could siphon the pork barrel of our legislators and funnel them into her front non governmental organizations to end up as her personally kitty fund? Yet, it seems the yellow hypocrites are startled on what they discovered when in all these years that syndicate his been going on. Nobody even dared to inquire if that balding man ever received his pork barrel when he served as congressman of Tarlac and later as senator. If he says no, then he is a downright liar.
Nonetheless, we could unmistakably point to Mrs. Aquino as responsible for making that syndicate possible. However, it was that lady in jail who pushed her luck; that instead of chewing by the thousands and be contended, she began chewing by the millions, and later by the billions. It Mrs. Aquino, now being readied to become our next saint, that instructed her minions in her handpicked constitutional commission to provide a provision giving exceptional authority to NGOs to slander and to act as watchdogs against government venality.
More than that, the NGOs were given the right to receive funds from the very government they slander. If the government in power does not belong to the herd shepherded by the US imperialist, the clerics and the elite, that would be targeted for defamation as corrupt. In addition, NOGs enjoy the privilege of tax exemption and immunity from examination and audit.
To make sure the racket of the NGOs will continue unimpeded, Mrs. Aquino restored the pork barrel to members of congress as if to annually finance the syndicate. The yellow administration also made an important modification: that only certified yellow card holder are entitled to their fat pork barrel allocation, while the opposition have to beg to get their supposed share.
It was the magic of the pork barrel that was used by the yellow horde to compel the majority of the members of congress to tow the line. The pork barrel was the carrot and stick weapon to capture the leadership of both houses. Anybody who refuses to vote for the candidate of the yellow administration for speakership and for the Senate Presidency will not get he share of the bacon.
Now, who can be blamed for this systematic looting of government funds when practically all wants to have their commission from their own PDAF. Commission is something they need to hurdle them in the next election knowing that election here is determined on who has the biggest budget to buy votes. And to do that they need people like Napoles to help them divert a big chunk from their own PDAF.
By the way, many of this NGOs are in fact fronts of foreign intelligence agencies or are funded by them. One NGOs allegedly monitoring graft and corruption is headed by an American citizen. We can never tell if he is in fact a foreign agent. While that asshole makes it appear that his advocacy is to monitor government corruption, one of his employees charged him for demanding a rebate from their salary. So for every employee, that asshole gets almost 50 percent from their salary although they were made to sign that they received the whole amount. That asshole appears every now and then on TV and is heard on radio giving us his hypocritical suggestion for good government.
