Philippines Most Corrupt in Asia

By Bernie Lopez
1.   Philippines most corrupt in Asia – http://www.asianoffbeat.com/default.asp?Display=844
3.  Yet Noynoy says we are doing good in Youtube
Corruption-in-the-PhilippinesIf you are talking about sophisticated digital tricks, I can find a hundred Filipino teens who are non-graduate non-IT who can do a better job. That’s not the reason this is “perhaps the best video so far about our country”. This Youtube video is a subtle ‘white prop’ (opposite of black prop) to up the deteriorating image of Noynoy. It was done by loyalist Filipino US expats who may sincerely believe in him … OR OR OR … Noynoy etal may have commissioned this expensive video.
Some ‘major-major’ blunders of Noynoy administration.
1.  Noynoy promulgated EO79 creating a centralized MICC, a council he can directly control, which negates the mandates of his own agencies DENR, MGB, EMB, etc. who are responsible for environmental protection. The agents of the mining industry, led by Cesar Purisima, have infiltrated the MICC, succeeding in finally approving the ECC of Xstrata-SMI’s 10-000-hectare Tampakan gold mine project, the largest-to-be in the Philippines and Asia. This project will eventually destroy thousands of hectares of prime agriculture areas in Mindanao. (See KILLER DAM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoYTNEli8gA). Noynoy’s legacy is – development for the rich, for the foreigners, for the government and greater poverty for the poor. He is selling us to foreigners.
2.  Noynoy todate has no clear strategies in the Sabah and Spratleys issues. He set up ‘study committees’ to look into them, which ex-Ambassador Baja says is the way the UN shelves projects. Noynoy’s foreign policy reeks of subservience to Malaysia in Sabah, by castigating the Tausugs instead of supporting them, and of brinkmanship in the Spratleys, by inviting the US into the fray with the Philippines in the middle of a potential deadly war of giants. Noynoy has no geopolitical sense, no vision and is surrounded by appointees who are not only the same, but have vested interests.
3.  Noynoy supported ‘the rape of Casiguran’ by the Angara clan (Edgardo, Sonny Jr. running for senator, and Gov. Bellaflor Angara Castillo) through the P3-billion 12,900-hectare Aurora-Pacific Economic and Freeport Zone (Apeco), which will dislocate hundreds of thousands of locals in the agricultural and fishery sectors. Cardinal Tagle received the protestors at the end of their 18-day march from Casiguran to Ateneo, where they were brushed aside by Noynoy for their demands. The Ateneo paper Guidon branded Apeco as “insidiously totalitarian and marginalizing”, citing a dialogue with Sonny Angara who admitted “inadequate consultation with the people of Casiguran”, and “a need for a thorough review”, making Apeco in violation of several laws. (Source – The continuing bitter fight of the Dumagats vs. the Apeco project in Aurora and nagging queries that demand answers from co-author of law setting up Apeco, now running for the Senate: Rep. Sonny Angara )
WHY WAS P2 BILLION IN PROJECT FUNDS RLEASED EVEN THOUGH NEDA WAS STILL MAKING AN EVALUATION REPORT ORDERED BY NOYNOY? THE ANGARA CLAN’S APECO IS IN TRUTH A VESTED-INTEREST INVASION OF CASIGURAN, AN INCURSION ON LOCALS, BY RICH BUSINESSMEN AND POWER POLITICIANS INFLUENTIAL TO NOYNOY.
Let the viewers judge if this is really “perhaps the best video so far about our country”.
